According to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, sexual enslavement involves the “right of ownership” over a person. It may include sexual abuse or rape, or forcing the victim to provide sexual services to others. Sexual slavery may involve situations where persons are forced into domestic servitude, marriage or other forced labor that involves sexual activity, as well as the trafficking of persons for sexual purposes.

I wrote, designed, and hand-made this book as part of my graduation project for college. What moved me to research the topic of sex traffiking was because there are many people who are unaware of this epidemic. More often than not, sex workers are forced into these situations through lies and coercion.

Child sex trafficking doesn’t discriminate by race or economic standing. Whether you’re from a third-world country, or a first-world country, this can happen to anyone. Some girls are only five years old. They feel hopeless and ashamed.
