Although I grew up in the diverse Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, eating different kinds of food, I haven’t encountered Thai street food.
The main inspiration for the logo designs was to use components of a street food cart – wheels, umbrellas, etc. Given that this was originating from Thailand, I thought of how common Thai food can be incorporated into it, or how Thai temple roofs can be used.
After some refinements, the final logo has a food cart vibe with hints of Thailand. There’s a handwritten font to keep the style casual to the laid-back vibe.
For the business card, we opted for a circular shape, to keep the style casual, and to also represent the wheels of food carts. For the menu, we kept it minimal and added photos like Pho VietFlare due to the unfamiliar food served.
